The Governors of Abbots Bromley School for Girls established the Foundation in 1998 to endow the future of the School. The Foundation Trustees work independently of the School when determining policy and financial matters, and the principal activity of the Foundation is currently in support of scholarships and bursaries.

It is within the remit of the Foundation to finance capital projects when funding permits.
